Job Description
As part of a broader transformation and investment strategy, we are seeking a General Manager to lead one of the group's key business units. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping strategic direction, optimising performance, and driving profitable, sustainable growth across a diverse product and customer base. You will be able to demonstrate ability to:
* Lead the company across all functions, horticulture and organics recycling.
* Shape the next phase of growth and performance across multiple brands and sites.
* Lead strategic and operational performance across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites in Victoria and New South Wales.
* Oversee full P&L, sales, operations, and compliance performance, with accountability for revenue, cost, and EBIT outcomes.
* Build and lead a high‑performing team with a focus on safety, engagement, and capability development.
* Drive cost leadership and operational excellence through continuous improvement and innovation.
* Develop and execute multi‑year growth plans across customer, product, and geographic channels.
* Strengthen relationships with major national retail and commercial customers while identifying new opportunities in organics, horticulture, and recycling.
* Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and EPA requirements while embedding a culture of sustainability and accountability.
The Successful Applicant
You will bring a strong network from the industry and be ready to help shape and drive a growth strategy into the future. You will be able to show experience in:
* Proven leadership experience in agriculture, horticulture, recycling, organics, waste management, or broader manufacturing sectors.
* Strong commercial and operational acumen with full P&L accountability, ideally across multi‑site operations.
* Sound understanding of environmental regulation, safety systems, and sustainable production practices.
* Strategic thinker capable of delivering both operational efficiency and long‑term growth outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across customers, suppliers, regulators, and internal executive teams.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or similar.
You will be a hands‑on, commercially minded leader who thrives in environments that balance operational complexity with purpose‑driven outcomes. Pragmatic and collaborative, you lead through clarity, accountability, and trust, fostering performance while keeping people and culture at the heart of decision‑making.
