About Our Client
Our client is a highly regarded freight and logistics company based in Kewdale, specialising in the movement of heavy and oversized goods across Western Australia. What You Will Be Doing
You will be operating forklifts to load, unload, and move heavy and awkward freight safely and efficiently within the warehouse and yard. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced and confident operator who can take initiative, follow procedures, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Key duties include:
* Operating forklifts to handle heavy and irregular freight.
* Loading and unloading trucks and trailers with care and precision.
* Maintaining accurate freight movement records using tablets or computers.
* Conducting pre-start checks and reporting any equipment issues.
* Upholding and enforcing safety standards and procedures.
* Working collaboratively with warehouse and transport teams.
What You Will Need
Essential:
* Current and valid Forklift Licence (LF).
* Proven experience operating forklifts – minimum 3+ years.
* Heavy/ugly freight experience (essential).
* Strong confidence in your operating ability and safety awareness.
* Good written and verbal English communication skills.
* Computer literate – ability to use tablets and basic freight systems.
* Reliable, safety-focused, and physically fit.
Desirable:
* Experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
* Team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
