Job Role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to transform surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and preparing them for painting. This entails sanding, filling holes and cracks, and repairing any woodwork before the application of paint.

* The painter will also be responsible for removing old paint and wallpaper as needed, applying sealants or undercoats in the appropriate circumstances.
* Mixing and preparing paints to match specific colours and finishes is also a critical aspect of the job.
* The application of paints, varnishes, stains, or protective coatings using various tools such as brushes, rollers, or spray guns is another key task.
* Ensuring all work areas are protected from paint splatter through the use of drop sheets on furniture, floors, and other sensitive surfaces.
* Hanging wallpaper with precise pattern matching and trimming is also required.
* Regularly cleaning and maintaining painting equipment, tools, and supplies is essential to maintain efficiency and quality.
* Additionally, the painter may be tasked with repairing or repainting interior and exterior surfaces to maintain high-quality finishes.
