About the Role
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced planner with demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale Development Applications and Planning Proposals, leading multi-office teams and contributing at an executive level.
Working closely with the Planning Directors and senior management, the Senior Associate will take responsibility for major projects, team performance, quality assurance and strategic initiatives across the NSW and QLD offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently manage and deliver large-scale Development Applications and Planning Proposals
* Provide detailed, strategic planning advice to clients, identifying project risks and opportunities
* Lead, mentor and manage technical staff across NSW and QLD offices
* Review and ensure quality assurance compliance across planning outputs
* Prepare and review complex planning reports, studies and submissions
* Liaise with councils, panels and State and Federal government agencies
* Support business development activities and grow existing client relationships
* Monitor and achieve budget targets, including team billables
* Contribute to operational procedures, systems, training and strategic initiatives
* Attend client, council, panel and industry meetings and undertake site inspections
About You
* Degree-qualified in Town Planning, Urban Planning or related discipline
* Extensive experience in NSW planning, with exposure to QLD planning systems desirable
* Proven track record managing complex, large-scale planning projects
* Strong leadership, mentoring and people management capability
* Commercial acumen with experience meeting billable and budget targets
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Eligible for, or currently holding, REAP accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
