Department for Health and Wellbeing – Office of the Chief Psychiatrist Salary: $76,561 to $80,256 – ASO4 – Full Time / Term Contract up to 02 January 2026 Overview: The Executive Assistant is accountable to the Chief Psychiatrist for coordinating and providing a range of confidential high-level executive support and administrative services within the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist, transcribing diary and meeting coordination; procurement of goods and services; executive related event coordination, accommodation and environment needs; records management; and other administrative tasks. The role requires active participation in the review of administrative processes and procedures for continuous improvement and a well-respected professional interface between the Chief Psychiatrist, Department staff, LHNs, Ministerial staff and other relevant mental health related personnel on urgent and confidential matters. Timely organisation and administration executive support, project and research activities for the Chief Psychiatrist are essential to the effective functioning of the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist and achievement of its strategic goals; to this the end the incumbent will work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day office business.
