We are seeking skilled diesel mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of heavy vehicles and equipment.
About the Role
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diesel mechanic work. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking service and repairs to all mechanical plants and equipment including forklifts, material handling grabs, mobile port cranes, light vehicles, trucks, excavators, loaders, terminal tractors, and generators.
Key Responsibilities
* Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on heavy machinery and vehicles
* Servicing and maintaining various hydraulic and diesel equipment
* Working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver results
* Ensuring accurate and up-to-date service records are maintained
* Ordering parts and maintaining vehicle stock at appropriate levels
* Complying with statutory occupational health and safety requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
The successful applicant will hold a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification. In addition, they will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to working safely and professionally.
