About The Role
As an Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will be responsible for conducting required field and laboratory work in Kalgoorlie. Your role will involve testing soil, aggregates, and concrete as required, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of high-quality results. This role is open to both local Kalgoorlie residents and candidates seeking FIFO opportunities from Perth.
Some other responsibilities include:
Field
· Collect samples for soil, aggregate and concrete analysis
· Undertake field testing in accordance with Australian and Main Roads WA Methods
· Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients
· Input data from field testing directly into laboratory information management system via supplied tablets
· Conduct compliance checks on equipment including standard counts on portable density moisture gauges prior to departure
Laboratory
· Undertake testing of samples for soil, aggregate and concrete analysis
· Undertake laboratory testing in accordance with Australian and Main Roads WA Methods
· Input data from laboratory testing directly into laboratory information management system via supplied tablets
Essential Qualifications / Skills
· High level of field and laboratory experience in construction materials testing.
· Previous experience within the construction or mining industry
· Flexibility with rosters (e.g. 2:1, 3:1) (if applicable)
· Construction White Card
· Hold a current Radiation Licence
· Portable Density Moisture Gauge Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
· C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to work autonomously
· Highly motivated and willing to learn
· Ability to undergo a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
