PaRK MentalHealth is a community mental health service for adults and olderadultswho are basedin Rockingham and Peel.Weprovidea comprehensive range of services and programsfor individuals, families and groups whichinclude:
mental healthassessment,treatmentand ongoing careplanning
support andeducation for families and carers
support,consultation and education to general practitioners,communityagenciesand general hospitals
mental healthrehabilitation programs, including Intensive DayTherapy.
Evidencedbased clinical psychological individual and group interventionssuch as DBT;CBT;CBTfor Psychosis, Schema Focusedtherapy; EMDR.
As part of amultidisciplinary team you will provide clinical and professionalexpertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care isdelivered to patients. You will facilitate and promote patientsafety and quality of care. The Clinical Nurse practices withintheir scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and MidwiferyBoard's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Assessment TreatmentTeam – ATT
This is thefirst point of access to Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG) CommunityMental Health Services. The teams provide assessment,acuteresponseand brief intervention for clients aged 18to 64 years for a period up to the maximum of 10 weeks.Theteams are recovery focused and work with the client providingintensive support whenrequired.The teams also work withthe client's family and carers in the management of theclient.The GP liaison positions are embedded in both theRockingham and Peel ATT and CTT teams.Both ATT and CTT teamsliaise with drug and alcoholservicesand specialistassessment and support for people with co-morbidities isavailable.Referrals are reviewed daily in the Intake meetingandallocateda case manager/care coordinatorasrequired.
Clinical TreatmentTeam – CTT
The teamprovideson-going treatment and support for people withenduring mental illness through comprehensive assessment,specialist treatment and intervention, and a collaborative approachto care plans and discharge plans.The teamalsoreferand support to link withappropriateserviceproviders ifrequired.
Early EpisodePsychosis – EEP
The EarlyEpisode Psychosis Team (EEP) covers the Rockingham Peel GroupCatchment area with clinicianslocatedin both theRockingham and Peel Adult Community Mental Healthclinics.
The EEPProgram is anevidence basedintensive care coordinationservice dedicated to early detection and intervention forindividuals in theearly stagesof psychosis. The goal isto provide a service that promotes early recovery for peopleexperiencing psychosis using a biopsychosocial model and to providesupport to their family and carers.The team ismultidisciplinary and made up of clinical nurses, social workers,clinical psychologists, occupational therapists,psychiatricregistrarsand a consultant psychiatrist whopride themselves on working collaboratively to enhance clientcare.
Intensive DayTherapy Unit (IDTU) – Catalpa Centre
The IntensiveDay Therapy Unit (Catalpa Centre) Is a sub-acute service providingnon-residential Step-up/Step down services through a dayprogram.The target population for the IDTU is consumersbetween 16 – 64 years who are significantly disabled by mentalillness and/or who require intensive treatment.The maximumlength of treatment within the IDTU will be 12weeks.
