We are seeking a business development professional who combines commercial acumen with strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills to drive growth in the technology and spatial industries.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving new business growth by running targeted outbound and inbound sales programs. They will be responsible for qualifying new prospective clients, uncovering opportunities and setting the stage for success.
About the Role
This is a launchpad as part of our sales career ladder. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the skills and experience that can take them into enterprise software sales or open doors into other roles leveraging GIS technology.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, curious and ready to grow. They will work closely with our account executives to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads and collaborate with marketing operations and other teams on campaigns, initiatives and solution recommendations that make a real impact.
* Drive New Business: Generate and qualify sales opportunities through strategic outbound campaigns.
* Partner with Teams: Work with varied teams internally to target key accounts, book meetings and progress opportunities.
* Develop Strategies: Develop and refine lead generation strategies building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders ensuring smooth handover of qualified leads into the sales pipeline using our CRM Salesforce.
* Analyse Sales Data: Analyse sales data and campaign performance to identify trends improve approaches and maximise results.
* Mentor Junior SDRs: Contribute to team growth by mentoring junior SDRs and sharing best practice in outreach, qualification and sales engagement.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven successful experience in lead generation, business development or sales development, preferably in the IT or technology sector. They will possess leadership qualities, strong communication and storytelling skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt, stay resilient and maintain a positive approach in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate must be able to build and nurture professional relationships via phone, email and online meetings. They must have a proactive goal-oriented mindset with the drive to overcome challenges and deliver results. An appetite to learn about the spatial industry is essential.
