Security Clearance Required for this role:
* Must have a Current NV1 security clearance.
* Must be an Australian Citizen
* This will be an Office based role in Canberra.
* ITAR - You will be required to comply with the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) as the candidate may need to handle export-controlled ICT (hardware and software) products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute detailed project plans for Navy platforms, ensuring alignment with key stakeholder requirements.
* Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with stakeholders, including NSG-SPO, ISSC, NI&IWB, and more.
* Facilitate the approval process for Request for Problem Resolution (RPR) and support project deployment planning.
* Collaborate closely with Installation and Engineering Managers to meet project timelines and deliverables.
* Identify and mitigate engineering risks while providing strategic, specialist advice.
* Develop engineering control processes and project documentation.
* Prepare and manage project costs, including conducting due diligence on contractor quotes.
Must have Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
* Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within Defence, particularly with Navy Platforms.
* Familiarity with Navy AD514 Engineering processes.
* Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Experience in planning and executing technical project delivery.
Desirable Skills:
* Previous experience in the Defence Maritime Environment.
* Knowledge of Defence Capability Lifecycle Projects.
* Experience with SEA2273 and working with Ship Class SPOs and ISSCs.
* Background in Military, APS, or Defence contracting.
