Their Lismore-based feed mill plays a key role in producing high-quality stockfeed, delivering up to 700 tonnes across their 26 retail stores and bulk-order customer network. The Role
This position is responsible for the leadership and management of all feed mill operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of stockfeed. Joining an established team, the role oversees milling production, quality and safety systems, team development, warehousing/logistics, and equipment reliability. Key responsibilities include:
* Manage daily operations including production, warehousing, and logistics
* Lead and develop a 16-person team across admin, milling, and transport
* Drive safety, quality, and compliance including FeedSafe accreditation
* Optimise production performance, manage budgets, and deliver against KPIs
* Oversee preventative maintenance and capital works planning
About You
Our ideal candidate is an experienced people leader with a strong background in feed milling or fast-paced production environments. Confident managing safety-critical operations, budgets, and quality systems, they will bring a collaborative leadership style that supports accountability and development. Key criteria include:
* Proven people leadership in operational/production environments
* Technical feed milling knowledge | ideally with stockfeed experience
* Strong WHS, quality, and compliance acumen (e.g., HACCP, FeedSafe)
* Financial literacy including budgeting and reporting
* Confident communicator with problem-solving skills
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/5S desirable)
