Senior BI Leadership Role | Cloud, SQL & Healthcare Analytics

Your new role:
As the Principal Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering high-quality analytics and reporting solutions that support clinical and executive decision-making across Metro South Health. You will:
* Lead the design, development and optimisation of enterprise BI, reporting and data warehousing solutions using SQL Server and Microsoft cloud technologies
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to BI developers, setting best practice standards across reporting, ETL and data platforms
* Partner closely with clinical and business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights
* Drive the evolution toward scalable, secure and cost-effective self-service analytics solutions across the health service
About you:
You're a senior BI professional who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to collaborate, lead and influence in complex environments. You have:
* Strong experience in SQL, ETL development and data engineering across enterprise and cloud platforms
* Proven ability to lead BI solutions end-to-end, from data ingestion through to reporting and performance optimisation
* Excellent communication skills where you engage with clinicians, executives and technical teams alike
* Adaptability, curiosity and motivation to improve healthcare outcomes through high-quality data and analytics

The Data & Analytics service at Metro South Health, within the Digital Health and Informatics division, plays a pivotal role in supporting evidence-based decision-making across the health network. By leveraging advanced data management, analysis, and reporting capabilities, the team transforms complex healthcare data into actionable insights that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. This service collaborates closely with clinical, operational, and research teams to ensure timely access to high-quality data, promote data-driven innovation, and support continuous improvement initiatives across Metro South Health.
