Primary objective
Contribute to providing high quality and timely Secretariat and administrative services to the Department of Corrections.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Register, process and oversee the timely progress of correspondence received from the Minister's Office and Other
Agencies.
2. Update and maintain Content Manager Ministerial database in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Assist in monitoring the Secretariat generic email account and ensure emails are acted on promptly.
4. Provide administrative support to the Manager, Secretariat and Secretariat team members as required.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level of attention to detail.
2. Excellent customer services skills, including well developed interpersonal and communication skills with people at all
levels.
1. Well-developed time management and organisation skills, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, take initiative, be highly motivated and flexible.
3. High level of discretion when working with confidential and sensitive documentation.
4. Proficient in the use of Content Manager (TRM) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Desirable
1. Administration experience or experience working in a Secretariat.
