We are looking for a Medical Screener to join us at our plasma center located in Maryville, TN. This position is full-time, offering wonderful benefits that start on day one!
Job Functions:
1. Confirms donor identification.
2. Teaches the donor to use the self-administered questionnaire and assist as needed.
3. Performs donor arm checks.
4. Determines donor vital signs and weight and properly records results in applicable donor center system.
5. Determines donor suitability by reviewing donor responses to questionnaire and confirming the donor has provided the correct answers to donor suitability questions.
6. Defer donors based on knowledge of donor acceptance and deferral criteria.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 12 months in the health field preferred or a combination of experience and education equivalent to this requirement.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Ability to lift, pull, or tug up to 40lbs.
5. Work requires extended periods of standing and bending.
