Overview
Senior Accountant position with a local firm that serves high quality clients. Great location, just a few minutes walk from the train station. Client turnover up to $100m annually. Reputable, hands-on leadership with an open-door policy. Good mix of compliance and advisory work. The firm is one of the largest and most established accounting practices in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, supporting small to medium-sized businesses across Victoria. They have long-standing client relationships and steady growth, with a team structure of 4 Partners and around 30 professionals, plus administration support, working across business services, taxation, and a growing audit function.
The firm works with a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs across various industries, Not-for-Profit organisations (where they have strong expertise), and larger private businesses, with some clients approaching $100 million in turnover.
About the role
Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team. This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys close client collaboration, provides strategic advice, and manages complex financial matters across a varied client base. You will work directly with Partners and Managers, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the firm's ongoing success.

Ideal candidate / qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years' Business Services experience
* Completion of CA/CPA qualifications
* Experience with clients across a variety of entity-types and industries
* Strong communication skills and client-facing abilities
