Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 a year
Dunsteel Engineering Pty Ltd is a leading steel fabrication business with over 50 years of experience. Our business designs and manufactures feature stair installations for hotels, commercial offices, civic buildings, and premium public spaces.
These stairs are architectural centrepieces and require a flawless, high gloss, high build finish equal to automotive surface standards where any imperfection is not visible at eye level in lobbies and atriums. Dunsteel is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Automotive spray painter with the ability to finish surfaces to customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Measure, mix and apply primers and paint.
* Prepare surfaces meticulously for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
* Apply paint, stains, and other finishes to surfaces using a variety of techniques.
* Ensure accurate colour matching and consistency throughout projects.
* Complete projects within specified timelines and budgets, with minimal disruption to daily activities.
* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Prepare substrate by multi-stage sanding for high build coatings.
* Apply metallic and two-pack systems with controlled application, ensuring visual uniformity across complex geometry.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Trade qualification.
* At least 2 years experience.
* A keen eye for detail.
* Adherence to all work, health and safety policies and procedures.
