The role:
We are looking for a creative Fashion Designer, ideally with experience in Childrenswear and/or Luxury Apparel / Accessories, to work with the Creative Director and design team on design ideation and execution of garments and accessories within new and existing categories. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
* Work with the Creative Director and design team with accurate & thorough style set up for all collections in cloud based PLM system
* Create Illustrator CADs
* Work on and assist with print artwork edits, scaling & Vector prints.
* Create & accurately manage Range Plans with complete information for all styles in new seasons at development stage through to SMS finalising.
* Lead or work with the Creative Director on new design projects.
* Lead or work with the Creative Director on beaded panel design & artwork approvals from creation to SMS approval stage.
* Prompt & professional correspondence with external suppliers.
* Providing external suppliers with accurate style related information & target pricing when handing over new season development.
* Ensuring that all Proto & SMS development is handed over to external suppliers on time & in accordance to the Critical Path.
* Manage beaded panel tracing approvals for Proto & SMS.
* Manage the approval & commenting process with external suppliers from approved Proto garment sample to SMS garment sample.
* Issue SMS labelling information to external suppliers.
* Receive in Proto & SMS into the business & distribute to the relevant departments with relevant documentation.
* Sign off on all Proto & SMS invoices for payments.
* Ensuring daily, weekly & other prioritised deadlines are met using effective time management & organisational skills.

Skills and experience:
* Reliable with strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
* Tertiary qualifications in fashion design
* 1-3 years relevant experience in a similar position
* Competent knowledge and working understanding of fabric and garment construction
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience liaising with off-shore vendors
* High level of accuracy
* Ability to successfully multi-task and contribute to a dynamic team environment
* Ability to work autonomously and proactively
* Planning and time management
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
