Tradesperson Electrical – Avon

About the RoleWe're looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson to join our Avon Rollingstock Maintenance team. This role is ideal if you want consistent work, competitive pay, and the ability to stay local. You'll work on locomotives and rollingstock that keep WA and Australia moving, with plenty of support and training provided.
Responsibilities
* Electrical maintenance, servicing and fault finding on rollingstock
* Preventive and corrective repairs
* Working to rail safety, technical and quality standards
* Completing maintenance documentation and reporting
* Supporting other WA depots when required under the EA
About You
* Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
* Current WA AGrade Electrical Licence
* Solid commitment to safety
* Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
* Previous experience in rollingstock, heavy industry or industrial environments is advantageous but not mandatory
* Pre‐employment rail medical and drug & alcohol screening apply.

Roster: Monday to Friday.
Accrued Day Off: One paid day off every four weeks (ADO).
Hourly pay (EA rates AGrade Electrical): Current: $ per hour.
From July: $ per hour (6% increase already agreed). Saturday and afternoon shift penalties apply. This role offers top‐tier hourly rates without FIFO or long periods away from home, backed by the security of Australia's largest rail freight operator.
