The position reports to the National Sales Manager and focuses on achieving sales targets for the Premix Medication portfolio.

The Role

An outstanding opportunity for a Sales Specialist has arisen to join Baxter's Pharmaceutical team based in Queensland. You will engage with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) across various accounts and departments to introduce Baxter's Ready-to-Use Premix Medication.

Key responsibilities and activities include driving sales opportunities through face-to-face pre-planned field meetings, product in-services, and presentations to achieve sales targets for the Premix Medication portfolio. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver messages on medication safety and Baxter's Premix Medication ranges.

Key Responsibilities
* Engage with HCPs in acute care settings to deliver messages on medication safety and drive adoption of Baxter's Premix Medications.
* Identify and convert sales opportunities from targeted accounts through face-to-face pre-planned meetings to meet territory sales growth targets.
* Educate customers on Baxter's Premix Medication range and its benefits in medication and patient safety through regular in-services and presentations.
* Conduct regular business reviews with key healthcare stakeholders on the use of Baxter Premix Medication ranges and identify opportunities in line with local guidelines.
* Engage with Medication Safety governance to stay updated on changes in local policies and recommendations.
* Respond timely to medication shortages where Baxter's Premix Medication and compounding services offer alternative solutions.
* Regularly review and update the sales funnel to reflect current opportunities and forecast future sales.
* Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal customers.
* Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Marketing team on local tenders and monitor compliance.
* Work with Baxter Sales and Education specialists and Compounding Sales Specialists to expand customer access and exchange knowledge across the business.
* Represent Baxter during customer meetings, in-services, and presentations.
Key Requirements
* Tertiary education in Medical Science, Nursing, Business or related fields.
* Proven experience in hospital sales and/or knowledge of hospital compounding in acute care settings is advantageous.
* Proven ability to function as part of a high-performing commercial team.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical information and persuade decision-makers at all levels.
* Strong time management and organizational skills with initiative and drive to achieve results.
* Ability to work autonomously with a strong drive and determination to succeed.
* Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
* Professional approach to the direction and implementation of ideas and programs.
* Interest in continuous learning and working collaboratively in a team.
* Understanding of adult learning principles.
* Flexibility with working hours and willingness to undertake interstate travel when required.
* Valid Driver's Licence.
