We're looking for a passionate and experienced Small Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic John Deere team in Mackay.

What You'll Be Doing
* Diagnose, repair and maintain small engines including chainsaws, lawn mowers, garden tractors and similar equipment.
* Carry out scheduled servicing such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune‑ups.
* Test and adjust mechanical components using diagnostic tools and computer systems.
* Accurately document repairs and parts used, and keep the workshop clean and organised.
* Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with team members.
* Deliver expert service and support to our customers and partners.
* Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
* Trade qualification in Small Motors and Power Equipment (essential)
* Strong mechanical and technical skills, including basic electronics and hydraulics
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Confident using computers for diagnostics and job documentation
* Manual Driver's Licence required; Forklift Licence highly regarded
* Is safety conscious, solutions focused, and ready to grow
* A proactive team player who takes ownership and drives results
* Holds relevant certifications or qualifications
