About The Opportunity
* Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
* This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.
You may contribute your expertise by…
* Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, involving research and fact-checking.
* Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.
Examples Of Desirable Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor.
* Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
* Strong writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, along with logic and reasoning skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.
Payment
* Current pay rates for core project work by English writing experts in the US average USD $15 per hour.
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Some projects offer incentives. Review payment terms for each project.
