About This Role
Sugarloaf Animal Hospital, a reputable veterinary practice in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the team, you will support veterinarians in delivering exceptional patient care.
The Opportunity
* This part-time position offers flexibility and can accommodate your preferences in specific areas, whether you prefer surgery shifts, reception, consulting or hospital duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting veterinarians in delivering top-notch patient care.
* Rotating through various roles, including surgery, hospital, consulting and reception.
Requirements
* Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
* Availability for at least 2 days per week, ideally Thursdays and Fridays (can be negotiated).
* Confident with animal handling, administration of treatments and management of hospitalised patients.
* An interest in exotic medicine and developing skills in this area.
* Exceptional communication skills to build relationships with clients.
* An eye for detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice.
