Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT - History, RE & Geography
An 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the Borough of Lewisham is seeking a Humanities Teacher / ECT to join the team from September 2026. This full‐time and permanent position offers an opportunity to work within a strong Humanities Department featuring a mix of experienced, Teach First and graduate staff.
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching Humanities (History, RE & Geography) across KS3, 4 & 5
* Inspiring and motivating students
* Collaborating with a fantastic team of Humanities teachers
* Opportunities for TLR roles such as KS3 / KS4 Coordinator and pastoral responsibilities
* Supporting newly qualified teachers through 1:1 mentoring and bespoke ECT induction
* Contributing to a fun, creative learning environment and supporting achievement across curricula
Salary: MPS1-UPS3 – £39,480 to £57,571 plus TLR (size depends on experience).
Person Specification
* UK QTS or in the process of obtaining it
* Strong academic record – degree, A‐levels, GCSEs
* Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards at 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
* Ability to work effectively as part of a large Humanities team
* Openness to feedback and professional development
