We are seeking experienced Commercial Lawyers with a passion for looking after and understanding small business. If you’ve had the experience of running a business, all the better! The position involves working directly with clients, understanding their business needs, and providing solutions that align with their goals rather than just the legal answer.
You might have started on your own and decided its not really what you wanted, or looking for more balance in your life, or considering what life might look like if you had the flexibility of working in your own practice. We value people who understand their own rhythm of working and trust you to get on with it.
Who Are We?
Right now, we are a women lead corporate and commercial practice based in North Lakes. Jeanette lives out west and comes into the office a couple of times a week, Andrea lives up north and works remotely, Sarah and Abbie are local and usually come into the office 4 days a week and Samantha supports us from the Philippines. Tony looks after our IT and comes in occasionally.
Collectively we have over 30 years experience running businesses in different sectors. We support our clients with clear and actionable legal guidance to give them a way forward, with each of us supporting multiple areas of practice across leasing, business sales and acquisitions, employment law, intellectual property, corporate governance and contract review and drafting of every description.
We operate without heirarchy and hold team meetings twice a week to catch up and review current matters. We use the Smokeball practice management system.

We’re looking for you to have experience in any two or more of:
* advising on, establishing and transitioning business structures
* TM and copyright applications, oppositions and disputes
* employment law for employers
* commercial dispute resolution and litigation as last resort
* wills and estates
As a minimum, we are looking for you to have:
* 5 years PQE
* eligibility for a current unrestricted Australian practising certificate
* willingness to operate a paperless environment (Smokeball PMS)
* existing clients and a strong referral network will be highly regarded.
