Rumi on Louth is a privately-owned, off-grid luxury eco-resort located on the breathtaking Louth Island off South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. We're seeking an experienced and proactiveLogistics Supervisor (2IC) to help keep our operations running seamlessly — from coordinating marine and land transport to ensuring our inventory, fleet, and facilities are always ready for action.
This is a rare opportunity to combine your logistics expertise with a unique lifestyle setting. In addition to a competitive salary of$75,000–$90,000 + super, we offeroptional off-island accommodation at a heavily subsidised rate of $150/week, making it easy to live close to one of South Australia's most beautiful and exclusive destinations.
What You'll Be Doing
• Coordinating daily deliveries, transfers, and resupply logistics
• Ensuring vehicles and vessels are serviced, operational, and ready for use
• Overseeing inventory checks, stock reorders, and MSDS compliance
• Supervising and mentoring the logistics team, ensuring daily tasks are completed
• Maintaining fleet logbooks and promptly addressing maintenance needs
• Supporting minor facility maintenance tasks
• Liaising with other departments to ensure timely logistical support for guest services and events
• Promoting and adhering to eco-friendly and sustainable practices
About You
• Previous experience in logistics, maintenance, or operational support roles
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of WH&S and marine/fleet regulations
• Comfortable working in a remote or island environment
• Proactive, adaptable, and reliable with a commitment to high standards
Requirements
• Current driver's licence (MR or HR licence preferred)
• Valid Coxswain Grade 1 or 2 Certificate of Competency
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Marine Radio Operator's Certificate (VHF)
• Experience operating small passenger vessels in open waters
• Strong understanding of maritime WH&S legislation and emergency procedures
