About The Company
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a national, industry-leading company and manage the accounts payable function of the business. You will have 3 direct reports and be responsible for the end to end accounts payable process as well as assisting with driving change within the accounts payable function.
The business has a friendly team culture, and provide a lot of support. They are currently working 3 days from the office and 2 days from home and are flexible with start/finish times.
The responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the role will include but not be limited to:
* Managing a team of Accounts Payable Officers to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
* Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expense claims as well as maintenance of accurate records and reports
* Drive continual process improvement
* Assist with month-end closing and cash flow forecasts
* Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliation
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Vendor Master Data performing timely maintenance work as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Accounts Payable Manager position, along with the following skills and attributes:
* Strong proven Accounts Payable management experience
* Experience leading and mentoring a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in a high-volume environment
* Proven capacity to both develop and execute change management strategy
* A passionate and positive 'can do' attitude
* Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to positive influence
* Immediately available or available on short notice
