About the Client
We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing group that has grown into a multi‑entity operation across Australia and New Zealand. With strong year‑on‑year performance, a healthy cash position, and confidence in continued expansion, the business is on a trajectory to scale from around $50 million today toward $250 million over the next five years.
Despite significant growth, the culture remains proudly a tight‑knit team environment where everyone rolls up their sleeves, decisions get made quickly, and impact is immediate. With around 100 staff and highly stable operations, this is a business where high performers thrive and progression comes with the journey.
The organisation operates across three entities, each with local leadership and finance support.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on Finance Manager role designed for someone who wants breadth, ownership, and genuine influence. You'll work across three entities, taking responsibility for statutory reporting, monthly results, and all core finance operations. You'll also play a leading role in building out management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, as these areas are currently under‑developed and ready for uplift.
You'll be partnering directly with operational leaders, GMs, and finance teams in Australia and New Zealand, while also working closely with the external accounting firm. This is a role that mixes doing and leading: one day you'll be posting journals or stepping in on payroll, the next you'll be consolidating group results or shaping how the business thinks about financial performance.
This role will initially report to a senior leader before joining the Executive Leadership Team and working directly for the CEO/Owner.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end month‑end close, consolidations and statutory requirements across three entities.
* Build and enhance management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
* Partner with operational leaders to understand manufacturing and supply operations, addressing commercial or financial challenges as they arise.
* Oversee core finance operations including journals, payroll support, AP/AR oversight and balance sheet integrity.
* Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team on financial performance, priorities and decision‑making.
* Partner with external accountants on tax, audit and statutory obligations.
* Support ongoing improvements across processes, controls, system utilisation and financial governance.
About You
In addition to the listed qualifications, you are ambitious, curious and ready to grow with a business that is scaling quickly. You thrive in environments where your impact is visible and where you gain exposure across the full spectrum of finance, from hands‑on accounting to leadership‑level reporting.
Qualifications
* CA qualified from a mid‑sized or growing business, or a Big Four audit Manager or Senior Manager looking for your first industry step or looking to step up from your current position as a Finance Manager.
* Strong statutory and management accounting capability, ideally with process and controls experience.
* A hands‑on mindset, comfortable doing the work as well as leading it, including journals and payroll when required.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage peers, build trust and avoid the "finance silo" trap.
* Curiosity to understand manufacturing, supply chains and operations beyond the numbers.
* Adaptability, openness to change and a willingness to be part of a close‑knit, high‑performing team.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central is an advantage, but not essential.
This is a role for someone who sees themselves growing into a broader position as the company scales.
What's on Offer
* Salary of $140,000 to $150,000 plus super.
* A growing, profitable business with a clear five‑year expansion trajectory.
* A rare mix of hands‑on accounting, management reporting build‑out and leadership exposure.
* A genuinely supportive, sleeves‑up culture where impact and initiative are valued.
* The chance to help shape the finance function of a business that will look very different in the next few years.
* Flexibility to work from home once settled and confident in the role.
* Stable hours, no cashflow headaches and a financially secure environment backed by strong demand fundamentals.
