About The Role
Be part of the Blast Furnace 6 Reline project at Port Kembla Steelworks. You'll tackle critical welding and fabrication tasks, working alongside a skilled team to deliver safe, high-quality results on a nationally significant project.
What You'll Do
Perform FCAW and MMAW welding in all positions
Complete pre-employment and site-based welder qualification tests (AS/NZS ISO 9606.1)
Weld to AS/NZS 1554.1 SP standard, with NDT
Interpret and apply weld procedures and manufacturing drawings
Mobilise/demobilise work fronts on site
Meet and exceed visual acceptance criteria for production welding
What You'll Need
Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
Recent experience as a Boilermaker
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Working at Heights and Confined Space (desirable)
Ability to pass FCAW & MMAW site weld tests (PF, PE positions)
