The position:
In this position you will provide patient centred, compassionate nursing care using the principles of evidence-based practice to improve patient care and service delivery. You will gain invaluable experience in a multifaceted clinical environment working alongside a committed team of health professionals.
The department:
You will work in our Rotamah ward, which is a 17 bed Midwifery, Paediatric, Palliative and General Medical ward providing a diverse mix of patient care requirements. Patient care is provided by a skilled nursing and midwifery team and is well supported by Medical, Allied Health & Ancillary staff. Midwives, Registered & Enrolled Nurses are responsible for specific divisions of the ward but also work together to provide care for the whole client cohort, presenting opportunities for our nurses to have broader exposure to Maternity. What you need:
* AHPRA registration, BLS and a minimum of 12 months recent acute nursing experience
* Excellent clinical assessment skills with the ability to apply the escalation of care principles
* A well-developed understanding of discharge planning and transition of care issues
