About the Role
This is a hands-on Network Engineer role suited to someone who enjoys owning day-to-day network operations while continuing to build experience across cloud networking and modern enterprise tooling.
Working as part of a small, collaborative infrastructure team, you'll help maintain and improve the organisation's network posture across APAC, supporting business-critical systems in a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment.
You'll be involved in monitoring, incident response, routine maintenance, documentation, and continuous improvement - while gaining exposure to AWS and Azure networking.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
* Provide Level 1–2 network and desktop support for connectivity, performance incidents, and service requests
* Monitor enterprise network environments using established monitoring and alerting tools
* Respond to, triage, and document incidents, escalating where appropriate
* Perform routine network maintenance including backups, updates, and configuration tasks
* Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and assist with urgent incident response
Cloud Networking Exposure
* Assist with cloud networking activities including subnets, routing, security groups / NSGs
* Support troubleshooting across AWS and Azure environments
* Contribute to migration, validation, and change activities
* Build familiarity with cloud consoles and infrastructure-as-code concepts
Collaboration & Documentation
* Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures
* Work closely with security, systems, and application teams
* Contribute improvement ideas and support a strong service-focused culture
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years' commercial experience in network operations, IT support, or a similar technical role
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals:
TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, HTTP/HTTPS
* Exposure to Windows and Linux environments with basic command-line troubleshooting skills
* Working knowledge of security fundamentals (firewalls, access controls, encryption basics)
* Strong documentation habits and clear communication skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior engineers
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Degree in Network Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience
* Entry-level or early-career certifications are advantageous, including:
* Cisco (CCNA / CCNP)
* Check Point (CCSA / CCSE)
* Fortinet (NSE 3 / 4 / 5)
* or equivalent certifications
