About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with disabilities. Your duties may include assisting with daily living activities, developing and implementing personal plans, and promoting independence and community participation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with people with disabilities, relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Individual Support, and a current NDIS Worker Screening Check. You should also be willing to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check, if required.
Kirinari Community Services provides 24-hour support to customers, seven days a week. You will be expected to work at least two weekend days and two sleepover/active nights per fortnight.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience working with people with disabilities
* Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Individual Support
* A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Ability to undertake physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, lifting, bending, and kneeling
* Ability to undertake psychological requirements of the role, including working in challenging environments and supporting customers on their bad days
You should also be committed to supporting customers on their good days as well as their bad days, and have a declarable conflict of interest if you were successful for employment with Kirinari Community Services.
