This role is focused on winning new business and expanding Allcon's footprint across the NSW civil and construction markets, you will be a natural hunter as this is not an account management role; however, you will be backed by a strong brand, a collaborative national team, and excellent sales, marketing and operational support to help you succeed.
The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced BDM with a proven track record in the construction industry. You know how to walk onto a site, build rapport quickly, and uncover the real challenges contractors are facing. You communicate confidently with project managers, builders, procurement teams, earthmoving contractors, and civil crews, and you enjoy being out in the field where the action is.
You understand the value of discipline, accurate forecasting, strategic prospecting, and keeping a healthy pipeline. You are proactive, self-directed, commercially astute, and motivated by results.
Most days will be spent meeting customers across civil sites, commercial builds, depots, contractor yards, and project offices. You are energised by variety, quick to form relationships, and skilled at converting conversations into opportunities.
Having an existing network or client contacts to tap into for generating new accounts through personal connections, networking, and proactive outreach will be highly advantageous. If you enjoy representing a respected brand, creating momentum in a territory, and consistently closing deals, this role is the ideal next step.
Key Responsibilities
* Grow Allcon's presence across Sydney and greater NSW through new business development.
* Generate new accounts through personal contacts, networking, and proactive outreach.
* Identify and target civil contractors, builders, project managers, and procurement teams.
* Build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities across multiple construction sectors.
* Conduct regular site visits and meetings to understand customer needs and project timelines.
* Present product solutions, prepare quotes, and close new accounts.
* Work closely with the Minchinbury branch and broader Allcon team to ensure strong service delivery.
* Attend industry events, expos, trade shows, and site demonstrations where required.
* Provide accurate market feedback to support product development and strategic planning.
