The North West Hospital and Health Service is seeking a skilled Senior Medical Officer to join their team at the Normanton Hospital.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients and managing administrative requirements related to patient care.
Key responsibilities include ensuring discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence are completed with minimal delay.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences;
* Current unconditional registration or eligibility for unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia;
* Possession of a Fellowship in General Practice (FACCRM or FRACGP/FRACGP-RG/FARGP);
* Appointment as a Rural Generalist SMO (Level 18 to Level 27) requires one or more of the following advanced skills: Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Remote Medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Small Town General Practice, Population Health, Academic Practice, with Anaesthetics or Obstetrics considered;
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence; and
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.

* Base salary ranges between $182,106 and $266,677 p.a. (L13-L27)
