Job Description

We are seeking permanent, full-time or part-time Registered Nurses with extensive experience in Oncology Nursing and chemotherapy administration for our Oncology Day Unit located at Epworth Geelong. We are looking for nurses who are passionate about patient care, thrive on teamwork, and can demonstrate a proven track record in providing quality patient care and outcomes. You will be responsible for providing evidence-based care to Oncology and Haematology patients.

To be successful in this role

You are an experienced oncology nurse who is passionate about patient care and achieving high-quality clinical outcomes. A strong communicator, you will have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. You will be able to deliver safe, research-based standards of nursing care and will enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service. Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them are highly desirable.

You will have

* Current nursing registration with AHPRA
* Previous Oncology/Haematology nursing experience in a Day Unit
* Current expertise in administering chemotherapy medications, immunotherapy, and managing associated side effects with appropriate qualification/certificate.
* Contemporary knowledge of best practice in cancer nursing care
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and the healthcare team
* Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions

You must be able to

* Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
* Show commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to ensure an exceptional patient experience
* Ensure patient flow is managed while upholding professional nursing standards

The annual salary for a full-time Registered Nurse ranges from AUD $71,622 to $100,564 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level, and position (prorated for part-time).
