We're looking for a dedicated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to provide care support. About the Role :
The Assistant in Nursing supports Enrolled and Registered Nurses / Midwives in delivering general patient / client care and undertakes basic nursing duties typically performed by Enrolled or Registered Nurses / Midwives. Employees at this level are accountable for their own actions and work independently while assisting in high-quality care delivery.
In this role, you will support nurses in providing general patient and client care, ensuring each individual receives necessary care and attention in their home environment. You will undertake basic nursing duties such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal care, and supporting activities of daily living. These tasks are crucial for maintaining comfort and well-being.
You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure care plans are followed properly, maintain accurate records, track progress, and report any concerns or changes in health status to senior staff.
You will ensure that all care is safe, efficient, and compliant with healthcare regulations, respecting cultural considerations and meeting regulatory and personal needs.
What We're Looking For :
* Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program (specify year, e.g., 3rd year) with completed relevant training; OR
* Employed or intending to undertake a course approved by the Registration Authority for Enrolled Nurses; OR
* Hold a Certificate III or IV in health-related disciplines such as Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, or Individual Support Work, including elective units for AIN Acute Care, approved within the healthcare setting by DHA and the ANMF;
* Experience in providing nursing/midwifery care within the scope of education and skills, adhering to practice standards.
