The Department Director is responsible for leading the English department to develop a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students, embedding socially just practices in daily school life, setting high standards for student and staff performance, and actively participating in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.

* Implement the college's vision and contribute to the whole-college explicit improvement agenda.
* Build pedagogical capacity of staff to ensure inspirational teaching, highly engaging learning experiences, and success for every student.
* Guide the faculty, support differentiated practices, and promote a culture of continual improvement driven by effective data analysis, collaboration, and high-quality curriculum delivery.
