About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paed Med team as a Registered/Clinical Nurse, where you will be responsible for:
* Providing high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of health care settings, supported by clinical experience and/or further study.
* Accepting accountability for personal nursing practice and the delegation of care activities to other staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
* Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, children, youth, families, and external agencies to achieve optimal health outcomes.
* Delivering health education and information to clients, carers, and families to support informed decision-making and promote wellbeing.
* Supporting, guiding, and contributing to the development of less experienced staff, students, and other health professionals.
* Developing from a competent to proficient level of clinical practice through continuous learning, professional development, and experience.
* Undertaking portfolio responsibilities aligned with service needs and negotiated career development goals, as identified through performance review and development planning.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
