About Us

We are a group of professionals, well established in the health industry, building a team to support the greater community in Launceston with a modern facility in the heart of Launceston.

We are looking for a dynamic and efficient candidate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to gain experience in the health and business management industry.

You will have the opportunity to be there at the start, to help shape the future of the practice, to support the practice owners on this fantastic journey. This is the role you have been looking for, a challenge where you will be well supported and given the chance to grow.

The role

This is a medical reception/admin role with a twist.

You will be there to help set up, working with the team to make sure everything is working well and to welcome new team members on board. You really will be the face of the clinic

Front desk customer service and some behind the scenes as well.

General medical receptionist tasks and responsibilities such as answering phones, greeting patients, dealing with billings, making appointments and general admin.

Prioritizing patient care and doctor support

Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and professional matters.

20 hours a week to start, opportunity to negotiate this to more hours.

Immediate start available but we understand that you have to give notice in your current role.

Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare reception or administration
* Ability to get things done, to prioritize tasks
* Great problem solving skills, able to work out what the problem is and provide a solution
* Outstanding customer service, you love helping people and you are good at it
* A sound understanding of Medicare. Are you the go to person for those tricky questions?
* A willingness to learn and to help others to learn
* Experience with Best Practice would be terrific.
* Good skills with Office and Word
