About the Role
* As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on the job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
* This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
* We are currently hiring Apprentices in AC & Refrigeration to join us and support Data Centre Critical Environment.
What You'll Do
* Receive training from the operations team in proper job safety and repair procedures.
* Observe operations team while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
* Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
* Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating efficiently.
* Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
* Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
* Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.
What You'll Need
* High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a college program or technical school.
* In progress Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrical/Air-conditioning & Refrigeration
* Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
* Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
* Applicant required to provide latest student transcript.
* Must be Australian Citizen - NV1 clearance is required.
* Must have driver's license.
