HEAD CHEF – Hamilton Island Golf Club

Hamilton Island Golf Club is seeking a career-driven and experienced Head Chef to lead a passionate culinary team delivering refined, high-quality cuisine in one of Australia's most stunning golf course settings. Your Role

As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations at the Hamilton Island Golf Club. You'll lead the team, drive menu development, manage performance and compliance, and ensure consistently high standards across all services—from à la carte dining to private events and functions.

Where you'll make an impact

* Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency
* Develop and execute seasonal menus using fresh, local produce
* Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff performance
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost controls
* Maintain compliance with WHS and Food Safety Standards
* Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and operational procedures
* Implement improvements to enhance service delivery and team performance
* Collaborate with F&B teams to ensure a seamless guest experience

What we're looking for

You are a confident and experienced culinary leader who thrives in a premium dining environment. You lead by example, bring creativity to menu development, and have a strong focus on quality, team development, and guest satisfaction.

To be successful, you will need:

* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (Essential)
* Food Safety Supervisor (Essential)
* Valid Drivers Licence (Essential)
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Head Chef or senior leadership role
* Strong experience in high-volume or premium kitchen environments
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities
* Strong knowledge of WHS and Australian Food Safety Standards
* Ability to drive performance, consistency, and innovation
