About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our friendly and supportive team at Highclere Family Medical Practice. This is a contract 12 month position based in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The position is to cover for one of our nurses who will be on maternity leave from February 2026. There is also scope and possibility of a permanent position following the 12 month period. The position is approximately 25 hours per week. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice.
What you'll be doing
* Providing clinical nursing care to patients, including health assessments, vaccinations, wound care, and chronic disease management
* Assisting doctors with examinations and procedures
* Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with medical regulations
* Coordinating patient bookings and managing patient flow
* Promoting preventative health measures and educating patients on maintaining good health
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a holistic approach to patient care
* Ensuring the practice environment is clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
What we're looking for
* Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a current Australian nursing registration
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the wider healthcare team
* Organised and efficient with the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
* Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant practice software
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for primary healthcare
