The Opportunity
Extend, part of The Extend Group, is looking for a passionate and flexible OSHC Relief Service Assistant to join our team based across our South Australian Cluster to play, teach, and take care of children in a safe learning environment in Outside School Hours Care, between the two services as needed. Our cluster suburbs include Mount Barker, Strathalbyn, Gilles Plains, Beverley and Findon.
The Role
* Available to work 4 to 5 shifts per week across Before School Care and After School Care programs.
* Relief work as required.
* Be a part of our Vacation Care program, with up to 6-hour shifts available during school holidays.
* Assist in delivering daily quality activities for children that are safe, fun, stimulating, and carry educational value.
* Supervise and support children.
* Prepare and serve healthy food options.
* Create an engaging and happy environment for children.
* Build meaningful relationships with your colleagues, the children, families, school leaders, and the school community.
About You
* Engaging and warm personality.
* Strong focus on child safety and appreciation for mandatory reporting.
* Excellent communication and people skills.
* Holding a Diploma or Bachelor's or have successfully completed 50% in Children's Services, Early Childhood, School Aged Care or equivalent.
* You hold Successful completion of a Certificate 3 or 4 in Education, Care or Disability or equivalent.
* Working with Children Check (willing to obtain).
* First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training (or willing to obtain).
* Child Protection Training Certificate.
