Environmental Manager Position
The Department of Defence is seeking an environmental management professional to lead their Environment & Sustainability Teams across Australia.
This role involves providing project specific guidance and advice on legislative and policy requirements, overseeing the delivery and assurance of outcomes related to environment, heritage, and sustainability disciplines, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders to generate results.
* You will be responsible for undertaking complex environmental work to ensure Defence activities are managed, sustainable, and compliant.
* Collaboration with military and industry partners, including occasional on-site work and travel to regional and remote Defence operational sites.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert advice on legislative and policy requirements.
* Managing multiple issues with effective time management and prioritisation.
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders.
* Overseeing the delivery of environmental outcomes.
The ideal candidate has experience in operational environmental management, knowledge of environment, heritage, and sustainability disciplines, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
