Working closely with the National Strategy, Planning and Operations Marketing Manager, this role co-leads the development and implementation of marketing strategies, oversees marketing planning cycles, manages workflows and resources, and ensures timely and accurate responses to internal and external marketing requests.

Job Description
The Marketing Operations and Planning Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic and operational efficiency of the Marketing team.
You will:
* Support the National Manager and Head of Marketing in the development and execution of the overarching marketing strategy.
* Lead the creation and maintenance of annual marketing plans and calendars, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
* Coordinate cross-functional planning and meetings to support strategic alignment across teams and departments.
* Manage marketing workflows, project timelines, and deliverables using appropriate tools and systems.
* Monitor marketing performance metrics and support the team with reporting, analytics and insights.
* Identify opportunities to streamline marketing operations and implement process improvements.
* Act as the central point of contact for inbound marketing and communications requests from external and internal stakeholders.
* Prioritise, delegate and track the progress of incoming requests to ensure timeline and high-quality delivery.
* Support the National Manager and Finance Business Partner in ensuring finance tracking and updating against the National marketing Plan.
* Work collaboratively with brand, channel, and digital teams to ensure integrated campaign and/or project planning and delivery.
* Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and across departments to understand and support their marketing needs.
* Mentor and support junior marketing team members in project coordination and operational best practices.
* The role requires the ability to work flexibly across the function, including back-filling roles during short absences, as required.

Your background will demonstrate:
* 8 plus years' industry experience in a marketing or a similar related field.
* Solid strategic acumen at an overarching business and marketing function level, and in a government or similar industry context.
* Demonstrated experience in marketing operations, marketing coordination or campaign/project management.
* Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering marketing strategies and managing team workflows.
* Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
* High level of attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience will project management tools would be advantageous.
* Ability to adapt quickly in an agile and complex working environment.
