The Role
Toll People are currently seeking highly energetic dockhands, general hands, offsiders and forklift drivers to register for casual on-call assignments in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region.
Candidates will be responsible for general warehousing tasks such as unloading/loading freight, scanning and sorting freight, picking orders and assisting drivers with deliveries.
These are casual on-call assignments only. If your registration is successful, you will receive job alerts with the details of the work available (duties, location, pay rate, shift times etc).
Key Responsibilities
- General warehousing duties
- Loading/unloading freight
- Stacking, scanning and wrapping freight on pallets
- Breaking down pallets/sorting freight
- Picking orders
- Assisting drivers with deliveries
- Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
Skills and Experience
- Ability to keep up with the physical demands of manual handling tasks
- Essential traits: Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Flexible availability to work at short notice
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Awareness of OH+S Policies and Procedures
- Forklift Operators must hold a valid forklift licence
