BCP Group is a long established company based in the South West with operating divisions covering civil contracting, plant hire, sand extraction & supply, demolition and traffic management.About the roleWe are looking for a permanent part time assistant accountant with a great work ethic and attitude to support the team.Flexible working hours ranging between 20 to 30 hours weekly.One-on-one mentoring is available with the opportunity for professional growth.Daily Accounts payable processing along with fortnightly Vendor batch paymentsFortnightly credit card review and processingDaily Bank reconciliationsWeekly preparation of Accounts Receivable billing & Debt collectionPreparation of end of month profit and loss review and balance sheet reconciliationsBAS preparationMaintain and update asset registerPayroll Administrator duties include:Processing weekly payrollProcessing and payment of all statutory returnsEntering new employees & assist with onboardingWeekly fleet maintenance scheduleManagement of Department of Transport online system – ensuring registrations are paid on time, updating any NVH category changesAnnual Main Roads Heavy Vehicle accreditation audit and complianceAll administration tasks for Heavy Haulage including maintenance of records throughout the year, compliance with fatigue management, dimensions, loading and maintenance (monthly internal audit)Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (RTA) compliance, annual external audit (quarterly internal audit)Processing workshop related purchase ordersShared Reception duties (answering calls, collecting mail, ordering stationery & office supplies)Updating of policies & procedures & audit preparationYour ProfileWe are seeking a strong mix of attitude and technical skills, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following:Degree qualified or accounting diploma preferred but not essential (dependent upon accounts experience)Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar roleStrong interpersonal skills and effective time management.Knowledge and experience within the transport and/or construction industry highly regardedOn offer to suitable candidate:A supportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for professional growthFlexible HoursImmediate startUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
