Our State Government client in the Property Services Division is seeking two Vehicle Property Officers to support a high-volume portfolio of customer assets, with a strong focus on vehicle-related matters. This role has been created due to increased workload, staff turnover, and a growing backlog of critical vehicle administration tasks. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end vehicle processes including registrations, insurance, sales, and purchases, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves improving data integrity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role requiring strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Location: Parramatta, NSW Contract Duration: Until 30 June 2026 (initial engagement aligned to funding, extension not guaranteed) Pay Rate: $46.36 per hour super (PAYG) OR $46.36 flat rate (ABN) Working Hours: 7 hours per day | 35 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 days) during initial training, transitioning to flexible/hybrid (up to 50% WFH) Key Responsibilities Manage vehicle registrations, renewals, CTP, and insurance processes in line with legislative requirements Coordinate vehicle purchases and disposals, including liaison with auction houses (e.g. Pickles, Manheim) Maintain and cleanse internal databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of vehicle records Reduce backlog through data validation, reconciliation, and process improvement activities Liaise with internal teams and external agencies including Service NSW, Transport for NSW, and NSW Fair Trading Apply and manage vehicle restrictions, transfers, and compliance documentation Prepare accurate file notes, reports, and business correspondence Manage high-volume caseloads while delivering quality customer service, including support for vulnerable clients Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity Must-Have Requirements Demonstrated experience managing vehicle-related matters (registration, insurance, purchasing, and sales) Strong working knowledge of NSW vehicle registration and transfer processes High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and validation capability Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment Confidence using CRM systems and digital platforms Highly Desirable Experience working within government or highly regulated environments Familiarity with Service NSW and transport-related processes Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics (e.g. interpreting inspection reports) Experience with vehicle auctions and asset disposal processes Knowledge of motor dealer licensing and regulatory requirements Additional Information On-the-job training provided with close team support Full-time hours preferred Hybrid work available once training is completed and competency demonstrated Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, with a preference for face-to-face where possible Candidates available to start immediately or at short notice will be highly regarded Apply now to be considered for this exciting opportunity.
