Reporting to the Chief Data Officer you will be an integral part of our newly established Data & Governance Team leadership cohort. In this role you will be accountable for the enterprise wide data and artificial intelligence strategies of Transport for NSW and it’s agencies. Through these strategies you will enable the responsible use of data across Transport and empower business units to access and use data.
You will work closely with the business to understand TfNSW business strategies and how you can align data and AI strategy to align and work with this. You will set the data vision and use-case roadmap, define operating models and value frameworks, standardise data and analytics architecture patterns, and lead data literacy and enablement programs to deliver scalable, secure and modern data capabilities across the organisation.

About You
You are a qualified, experienced consulting professional with a solid understanding of data looking for an opportunity to build and lead world class data capability within an organisation that is subject to high levels of public scrutiny:
* You bring extensive experience in consulting and working with a business to align strategies.
* You will have demonstrated experience at a high reliability organisation developing and building, leading, and governing data capability and strategy across a diverse, complex organisation.
* You are an influencer and thought leader in delivering advice.
* You will have demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of how to underpin data with organisational strategy.
* You are experienced in creating, delivering and maintaining clear outcomes focused data governance frameworks across a large scale organisation.
* You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
* You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
* You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
* You embrace a delivery mindset as the cluster continues to transform.
