Position Information
Warners Bay Public School, located in Lake Macquarie North, has a student enrolment of 336 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 including 25 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The school has 3 support classes. We promote values of safety, respect, and active learning, and we work closely with our parent community to support all students in achieving success. Our school provides specialist support for a diverse range of students, ensuring that everyone is included and integrated into our school community.
We have a positive atmosphere where high expectations for students are shared among staff, parents, and the broader community, with our P&C actively involved. Our strong partnerships with the local Kumaridha AECG and neighbouring schools enhance our programs.
We offer robust student support initiatives, such as Positive Behaviour for Learning and The Resilience Project, and provide a variety of extra-curricular activities that foster growth in sports, arts, culture, academics, and civic engagement.
Our consultation with the community and AECG highlighted the importance of focusing on high potential and gifted education, as well as wellbeing. To ensure we deliver the best education possible, our teachers will engage in professional learning that emphasises evidence-based and data-driven practices. The School Excellence Plan will target literacy, numeracy, attendance, and wellbeing, along with a commitment to explicit teaching and inclusivity that promotes each student's learning progression.
