Overview
As the Senior General Practitioner in the Kutjungka Region, you will be a cornerstone of healthcare delivery in the communities of Balgo, Mulan, and Billiluna. Your role transcends conventional medical practise; you will engage with communities, enhance service delivery, and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. The Practice
This Aboriginal medical service stands at the forefront of Aboriginal health advocacy in the breathtaking Kimberley region of Western Australia. Since inception in 1986, they have championed a unified voice for Aboriginal heath and wellness, empowering communities through culturally appropriate health services.
As a proud member organisation representing eight independent Aboriginal groups, their vision is clear: to foster strong, healthy, and connected Aboriginal communities through holistic, community-controlled health services. Catering to a diverse array of health needs, delivering programs that are as unique as the communities they serve.
The Requirements
* Medical registration to practice in Australia
* At least 5 years of experience in general practice or primary health care
* Emergency management training, particularly in remote settings
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal communities
* A valid "C" class driver\'s license and capability to drive a 4WD vehicle
* 24/7 on-call required
* 4 weeks On-site in the Kutjunga region
The Package
* $317,177 total remuneration
* Availability allowance 25% of base salary (when in Kutjunga)
* $300 per day for any on call when in other location
* Annual airfares subsidy to the value of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service)
* Salary packaging up to $30,000 per annum
* 8 weeks support in other clinics
* When assisting across the broader clinic network, support may be provided onsite in another remote community or via telehealth from Broome, another community, or your home anywhere in Australia
* Receive $300/day allowance when rostered first on-call (25% availability allowance does not apply during this phase)
* 6 weeks annual leave per annum, pro rata
